Let your voice be heard! The Newtown Township Zoning Task Force would like to formally invite you to complete our Newtown Zoning Mapping Survey! On Wednesday, November 28th, the Newtown Zoning Task Force, with help from the Delaware County Planning Department, hosted a public meeting to collaborate with citizens about the future of Newtown Township’s zoning. Residents participated in a mapping activity in which they addressed questions regarding the current uses of Newtown, as well as their visions for the future.
In order to get input from those who were unable to attend that meeting, we ask that you please complete the Newtown Zoning Mapping Survey and Newtown Zoning Questionnaire using the links (included below) by Monday, January 7th, 2019. The first link will provide you with a map that allows you to mark specific sites within the Township with regard to various activities. This exercise offers the opportunity to tie your comments to a specific place in the Township. Your responses will help the Task Force to determine areas for improvement. The second link provides a written survey, allowing you to elaborate on your vision for the future of Newtown. In total, both surveys should take about 15 minutes to complete, depending on the length of your responses. Both surveys do not need to be submitted together, so you may complete them at separate times.
To answer the questions in the provided links, you do not need to be familiar with Newtown’s zoning, as questions are focused on your personal experience and vision of Newtown. If you have questions about this survey, please contact Kiersten Mailler of the Delaware County Planning Department, at email@example.com. On behalf of the Newtown Zoning Task Force, thank you for taking the time to share your vision for Newtown’s future.
