Jointly operated with neighboring Marple Township, Marple Newtown Recreation is committed to improving the quality of life of all citizens of the communities in Marple and Newtown Townships. Their mission is practiced through the presentation of quality programs and activities that promote family participation, good health and fitness, youth development and intergenerational experience.
The Marple Newtown Leisure Services Joint Recreation Commission is an eight-member board (four from each township) that schedules events at most parks and playing fields, the Robert C. Gauntlet Community Center and also operates Kid’s Stop.
