Board of Supervisors
Newtown Township is governed by a five-member elected Board of Supervisors. As described in the Second Class Township Code, the Board of Supervisors is charged with the general governance of the Township and the execution of legislative, executive, and administrative powers in order to ensure sound fiscal management and to secure the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of the Township.

Elected Auditors
Newtown Township has a three-member elected Board of Auditors. As described in the Second Class Township Code, the Board of Auditors is charged with auditing, settling and adjusting the accounts of all elected or appointed officials of the township and its boards or agencies that received or disbursed funds of or owing to the township during the immediately preceding calendar year.

Tax Collector
As described in the Second Class Township Code of Pennsylvania, the elected tax collector shall collect all county, township, school, institution district and other taxes levied within Newtown Township by authorities authorized to levy taxes.
