Yard Waste Collection
Newtown Township Offers Spring Cleanup Assistance
Each year, Newtown Township offers a Spring Cleanup Collection during the month of May. During this month-long event, Public Works crews will be providing a pick-up of branches and tree limbs throughout the Township for any resident who requests it. Also offered is an opportunity to drop off your own branches and tree limbs between April and September.
Curb-Side Collection of Branches and Tree Limbs
Branches and tree limbs can be as large as 10” in diameter. They must be cut into lengths no longer than 6’ and stacked neatly at the curb with cut ends facing the street. Leaves, grass clippings, brush and branches with a diameter larger than 10” will not be accepted.
Public Works will handle the proper disposal of these limbs and branches. There is no cost to residents for this pick up. However, this service is for residents only, and is not available to landscaping companies or to business properties. It is also intended as a "Spring Cleanup" and is not intended to handle debris follow tree removal - the tree removal company should be facilitating debris removal for you.
Request Form
To schedule a tree limb and branch pick up from your residence during the month of May, please fill in and submit this form: 2023 Spring Cleanup Request Form
We will collect the pile on the date requested, weather permitting. Should we be delayed, we will pick the pile up as soon as possible afterwards.
Note - as of Thursday, May 25, 2023 curbside collection requests are completed for the season and the request form taken down.
