The Zoning Hearing Board (regular meeting) scheduled for February 16, 2012 is meeting only for the re-org.

TOWNSHIP INFORMATION
Effective January 1, 2012 . . . Newtown Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, has appointed CENTAX as the Local Service Tax Officer. Beginning with the 1st Qtr. 2012 Return, all payment and inquiries must be directed to CENTAX. Please CLICK HERE for more information.
Please note that any dogs/pets are not permitted on any turf fields throughout the township. For Gable Field, there is a signed area that is designated as a dog area on the east side of Ellis Road adjacent to the Township Building.

Starting December 5, 2011 the Code Enforcement Department is undergoing a transition and all calls are being re-directed to Kyle Bendler. Newtown Township is seeking interested people (must be a resident) willing to serve on various boards and commissions (Planning, Zoning, EAC, Parks & REc., Municipal Authority, etc.). If interested, please submit your letter of intent and resume/CV to Michael Trio, Township manager, at triom@newtowntwpdelco.org by December 23, 2011. Appointments will be made at the Board of Supervisors Re-organizational Meeting on January 3, 2012.
Please display House Numbers on homes and businesses
Did you know that Township Ordinance No. 2006-04 requires all homes and business to display numbers that are clearly visible from the street? The reason for this requirement is to assist the police, ambulance and fire company in locating your property in the case of an emergency. Numbers must be at least 4 inches high and 2.5 inches wide with scotchlite reflective material or of a color which contrasts with its background.
Effective Immediately - All permits MUST be accompanied by a signed contract.
The Police Dept. is now collecting email addresses for community notifications of any criminal activity in the township. If you are interested in receiving this information, please contact Sergeant Lunn at Lunnc@newtowntownship.org

The Heritage Commision of Delaware County is asking for a Call For Nominations for the 34th Annual Preservation Awards. They will recognize individuls, groups, organizations, businesses and institutions. Award categories include: Site Preservation, Publications, Special Programs / Projects, Individual Achievement, Historic Preservation Planning, Youth and The Leedom B. Morrison Heritage Award. The Delaware County Veterans Memorial Association in Newtown Square is verifiying the names of the Veterans that are to be listed on the Wall of Prayers.
