Newtown Township is seeking a qualified consultant to prepare a Comprehensive Plan Update.  The current Plan was adopted in 2001.  Please see the attached RFP.  DUE DATE for RFP is May 13, 2014 (Please disregard the April 15th date on page 4.) The Comprehensive Fee Schedule is currently "under construction.  We will post updates as they become available. 
"Our "Permit Forms" page, located under the  "Codes & Permits" tab has been updated to reflect our forms with a revision date of  2014.   Please make sure the forms you are using are the most current.   We are streamlining the process with most forms/applications conforming to one page.

Goshen Road Detour

Beginning March 31, 2014,  Goshen Road, between 252 and Darby Paoli Road, will be detoured on weekdays between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM while AQUA replaces the water main.  The road will be open each morning until 9:00 AM and after 3:00 PM as well as on weekends.  The detour is anticipated to be in place until the end of May.  Should further information become available from PennDOT it will be posted here.

 September 24, 2013, News Release:
The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP) has approved Newtown Township’s official sewage facilities plan, otherwise known as the Township’s Act 537 Official Plan Update. Thank you to all the stakeholders who assisted in the successful completion of the plan. The approval of this plan allows the Township to move forward with providing much needed sewer facilities and improvements for its residents.

Please note that any dogs/pets are not permitted on any turf fields throughout the township.  For Gable Field, there is a signed area that is designated as a dog area on the east side of Ellis Avenue adjacent to the Township Building.

 Please display House Numbers on homes and businesses
Did you know that Township Ordinance No. 2006-04 requires all homes and business to display numbers that are clearly visible from the street? The reason for this requirement is to assist the police, ambulance and fire company in locating your property in the case of an emergency. Numbers must be at least 4 inches high and 2.5 inches wide with scotchlite reflective material or of a color which contrasts with its background.
